From June 8 until the opening on June 17th I’ll be working from Dublin on the installation of the exhibition that has been in the making for almost six years. Postponed due to the COVID19-pandemic the 300th birthday of Piranesi will be celebrated two years later with an exhibition celebrating the Master’s legacy in the 21th century.
Linking the contemporary with heritage
One of the venues is the architectural gem of the Casino at Marino, a highlight of Neoclassicism in Europe. At the other venue, the Coach House Gallery of Dublin Castle, scenographers Caroline Voet and Leen De Brabandere from Antwerp have set up an imaginary dreamy Italian Grand Tour landscape to hightlight works by contemporary artists.
