Every year Middachten Castle in De Steeg, The Netherlands, choses a lesser known part of their collection to highlight to the public. Victoria Countess Bentinck (1863-1949) collected cabinet photos and cartes-de-visite. Her albums are part of the collection of Middachten. During the summer of 2023 the albums and some of the original photos were shown in a small exhibition in the house to mark the effort of a group of volunteers who worked on the digitalisation of the photos for several years. A selection of blown up images of family members as well as European royalty were presented in the orangery. Hélène Bremer coordinated the exhibition together with the volunteers and the curator. She also wrote the texts and organized the summer program.
